Is there anyone here that can give me some idea of the value of a Schick injector razor type O... NOS still in its blister pack Japanese edition

There's a website selling new ones without the branding on them. I read somewhere that they're so exactly the same besides the brand name that they might have been made on the old machines or something. Like not just a knock off. That was speculation, but from someone who had the original.

I don't know what someone else would pay for an unopened one. I don't have anything like that because I enjoy using the vintage razors I have.

I think, and you could look through old sales threads on other forums probably, that there was a time they were fetching about $200. I don't recall ever seeing any unopened but I was never really in the market for one and eBay only shows completed listings for a few weeks.

Vintage in the package I think would demand a premium, but the vintage market for safety razors has softened a lot. Except for truly original and complete stuff.

The type O is really only significant in my opinion because it was the last model and was only really sold in Japan when it was produced. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall it's from the 90's. So it's not really super old or unique in its design. I do believe it is genuinely rare and it is the last injector model Schick made. It's probably a little different in weight and balance and performance, but not enough in my mind for me to ever chase one down and find out for myself.

At the end of the day it's worth what one person is willing to sell it for and another is willing to pay. Probably more if two or more people want it really bad. Obviously it's fluid and there's probably not very many unopened ones out there. Unless someone stumbles across a case of them and recognizes them as being worth something to someone.

In general I think a fair premium has been at least a third more than a very nice one in used condition would be. Like a reasonable price for a NOS vintage razor goes for when Gillette double edge razors exchange hands. I haven't noticed many Type O Schick razors sold recently. I'm not sure if $200 for a used one is the going rate lately.

If I was curious to try one I'd buy the generic one people have said is the same aside from the logo. I don't collect pristine condition razors though. I really don't think there are very many genuine Type O Schick injectors in the wild and one in the blister pack is something special. It could be worth significantly more than I realise. I would think $300 or more wouldn't be an usual number.

I'd be afraid my kid would get ahold of it and open it. The minute it comes off the card I think it's no longer worth a significant premium regardless of whether it's actually used or not.
Shave yourself.

Thank you Todd that was a very informative post there is or was an NOS one on eBay he wanted 395 for but he took it off. Ones out of the package are only worth about 150 I just found out ones in the blister pack can reach $600 but you're right the Vintage stuff is a little depressed

I bought one of mine on ebay for $300. It wasn't NOS, but it was mint. I bought it as a backup to the one I already had. My favorite Schick razor.
