I will be in San Francisco next week for work.  Are there any shaving stores that I should check out?  I would also appreciate recommendations on local restaurants.  I'm pretty open to any type of cuisine.  My client is a little unrealistic with food allowance, so I can't eat anything too expensive.

There’s pretty much nothing shave related of interest here, unfortunately.

Plenty of restaurants, but I’m not the right person to help with that.

On second thought, I might be of shave-related interest. Always down to grab a beer with a DFSer.

Sounds good to me. I’m always up for a beer.

A classic SF restaurant is the Tadich Grill at 240 California St. near Market. It also happens to the oldest, continuously run restaurant in California, and third oldest in the United States. They serve good fresh seafood. Make sure you have some sourdough bread with real butter along with your meal--they will serve you this without asking (as I write this I can taste the crunchy sourdough goodness--there is none better). I am not sure how it fits with your budgetary constraints. Also, the California Street Cable Car runs up and down California Street. I grew up in the Bay Area and lived in the City for a number of years. When I get back there this will be on my list of things to do. Also, when you have a beer with Blackland Razors , ask him how the heck can a guy who lives in the City not be able to recommend a restaurant or two. LOL. One final thing, be sure to have an Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista Café overlooking the Marina. This is where it originated and they make it the best, hands down.

Lol. I could probably recommend a restaurant or two, but someone who cares more about food should be giving out the recs. I'm not that guy. But I do know where the booze lives.

The Tadich Grill is a very good indeed, and a great suggestion. If Alfred's Steakhouse is open again, that place is great. Otherwise, Harris' Restaurant also has mouthwatering steaks. They are a little pricey, though. Fior d'Italia is another good choice, and is the oldest Italian restaurant in the U.S. There is a reason for that. Franco's Latin Table is a really good Peruvian restaurant right by the West Portal Muni Metro station.

No shaving places in San Fran that I know of. There is a great Italian restaurant in San Francisco about a half mile up the hill from the Embarcadero (601 Union Street) in the heart of the city. It is Original Joes. Maybe the best Italian I have had on the West Coast. Highly recommended.
I grew up in New York City a few blocks from Little Italy. Also, I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago, and ate at my favorite Italian joints for 2 days. PS...Yes I did visit Pasteur Pharmacy, NY Shaving Company and CO Bigelow (my wallet did suffer).

That was a good second thought, and made me laugh a bit. I think you are right, you are shave related. That was cool
