Looks like a price increase on the Mamba from $50 to $65. A few Game Changers currently in stock at $55.

Should probably expect a price bump on the next batch of GC's, eh?

Wasn't the game changer 49.99 before? This, is $55 already a price increase, or am I misremembering.

I think it was $50 with the Bamboo handle and $55 with the rest.

Yes, originally it was $50 only with the bamboo handle and all other handles made it $55. Then folks started asking for a head only option and RR gave them what they wanted by selling the head only for $50 and anything with a handle (including the bamboo) was $55.

I did not notice the significant price increase on the Mamba until I read this thread. Then again, I have not shopped for a Mamba since it came out. I am satisfied with my current Mamba and I also have an Oristo which was a copy of the original Black Mamba head. Both are favorites of mine.

i would guess that his is due to the demand for these razors being gone, especially with the release of the GC. Thus smaller batches being ordered from the machine shop at an increased price. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mamba discontinued in the coming year, which would be a real shame because it is a great razor. The one I have will be given to my son as his birth year razor.

Very interesting and thoughtful of you. I remember now that the Mamba was the first of his razors to get a unique serial number on the base plate. I wonder if someone like Razor Emporium, or even Razorock would come up with a date code directory 20 years from now just so your son has a reference page to confirm that it is his birth year razor. Not saying he won't trust his own father's word. ;-)
