After debating since the razor was introduced at $79, finally purchased the black 6s. Happy with my purchase. One of the best bargains in shaving.

I like mine so much I got it coated in 2 tone by North Shore Razor. Plate 5 is my daily user and used just this morning after it sitting for awhile testing other razors. Will always have one.

Man, I have too much gear. Haven't seen my Rockwell in an age. I too like them but am on a Merkur Futur kick right now. I polished the safety bars on my Rockwell because I perceived some drag. The polish worked if only psychosomatically but more likely I just like having a project. I like mine on the 5/6 plate.

I prefer the 6C to the 6S as I like the balance better. They shave the same. This is an awesome razor at an awesome price.

I've never liked the head of the Rockwell 6C / 6S, so bulky and heavy.
But above all the scarce excursion, which is moreover not very modular.
In 2018 I made a comparison between three well-known adjustable razors and an unknown newcomer:
• Gillette Adjustable Fatboy
• Karve (with all plates, at the time)
• Rockwell 6C / 6S

Of the last one, not being so well known the (fascinating) world of 3D printed razors, I leave a video.

As can be seen in the data, Hydra x6 is the model that best embodies the concept of adjustable.
Suitable for practically any type of need.

Love my Rockwell 6s which you call bulky and heavy. I'm kinda lost that you then produce/post a similar bulky design for a light 3D printed razor. Just saw the first 4 minutes of the video and will finish when I have time but looks like a copy of the 6s in plastic to me...... I'll stick with my Stainless Steel

Saw the rest of the video and still sticking with my 6s

I can't remember for certain, but doesn't Rockwell have a patent on the reversible base plate  safety razor?
