Yes. It's ironic. The most expensive razor I own may very well end up being paired with the cheapset blades I own. Astra SP.

Another great shave with the REX. Performed brilliantly as this is graduation no.#2 this week as my oldest daugther graduates from High School. Pulled out all the stops today and the REX plus todays components nailed it. Full of emotions today and they are slowly building of happiness, jubilation and some sadness. It’s going to be a good day, though I can feel the tears will be running shortly....
Great day and shaves to all....

I've noticed that it doesn't leave much slickness behind. If I want to do a little touchup, I just reuse some of the lather from the baseplate or scoop up a bit of leftover lather from around my ears or collarbone or whatever, often with a little water to thin it, or just add a dollop from the brush.

I do the same thing, although due to real estate size I sometimes have to relather.

On setting 4 this razor is a BBS machine! Just the right amount of blade feel for me and leaves nothing in its trace. This razor is so wonderfully balanced that it doesn't matter which direction you are going it just glides with ease.

I think somewhere around 4 may be the sweet spot for me, but I've tried it all the way from 0.75 to 6.25 (mine doesn't go quite full-circle) with Personna Red and Astra SP blades. The full range is useful. The low end is mild but can still shave close if I am careful with the angle. The aggressive end is still very smooth, though I do need to be a little mindful of the corners in concave areas. I love the rounded corners though; I've wondered why most razors stick to the rectangular head shape (although rectangular is certainly simpler for TTO).

What is that Yaqi like? Does it have much of a glue bump.?
