Used Kai Captain Titan ProTouch MG

Results, while not a disaster, were disappointing.

For one the contact swathe was wide, making it difficult to shave a narrow and angular face. For another it was even too wide for large areas such as chest and arms where struggled to access all the compound curves.

Question is, is this as good as it likely to get for the face and body type or was it a matter of poor hardware selection?

Funny you mention this razor. I used the V2 for several years when I first started on my wetshaving journey. The razor has been entombed in a dark corner of a bathroom cabinet drawer. I was considering reviving it as part of a comparative test with my ongoing La Faulx razor evaluations. I have to admit that the injector format has displaced most of my AC razors, in part because of the injector's smaller head and increased maneuverability in challenging face and body curves. Normally I would recommend the Blackland Vector for maximum AC maneuverability. But I am starting to view the La Faulx as a strong contender as well. The Hawk V3 A or OC plated might be something to consider, but I found the Vector to be a better razor, although with a potential learning curve.

I find better results when I use part of the blade i areas that are not as flat as the razor like the top of my head (roundest part) but the whole with on the ftattest parts (behind the dome). At least it’s what I do. Also what blade are you using? Guarded blades will help
