I bought a hundred or two when BestShave had them for almost nothing.

I think my face has gotten used to better blades since then (7 O'Clock Blues, Silver Blues, etc.) Similar thing happen to Astras - bought a lot of them at one time and now they sit unused in my blade storage tackle box.

So what blades do you still have and not really care for anymore? I can't be the only one still hoarding. Angel

That's quite a dilemma. Hahaha. Good that you found your blades! I too don't care for shark but they are ok. My son on the other hand loves them. I have no blades that a don't really like with the exception of a tuck of Merkurs. I keep em around for really bad days. Slap one in a razor and PROOVE things CAN get worse.

None, actually. I found my preferred DE blade (Wizamet Iridium Supers in blue package) eight years ago. For the first six months or so I experimented with quite a few of the well-know ones, such as the Gillette Yellows, Blacks, Green, vintage Swedes, GSB, Polsilvers, Perma Sharp Supers, vintage Wilkinson Swords, and many other brands such as Timor, Shark, Bolzano, etcetera. Nonetheless, I always returned to the Wizamets as I just found them to be very sharp, smooth and long-lasting. Smile

After using Lord Platinum, Rapira Platinum Lux, Polsilvers, Nacets, I don't like German Wilkinson Swords anymore. Strangely, the Indian Wilkinson Swords work really well.

Interesting question. I started traditional wet shaving near the end of February and bought a tuck of all kinds of blades so that I could test out which ones work best for me. There are some that work well (GSB, Nacets, Polsilver SI, Rapira Platinum Lux, Astra SP) and when I find ones that do not work out so well, I make note and then pull them back out later on to retest them. I figure out that my technique is still Improving and something that may have not worked out well early on could be different in the future.

For the ones that I have in bulk - GSBs, Nacets, PolSilver, Personna Platinum (blue/red pack) and Battle Brothers - I am on the fence with the Personna Platinums and have not had a chance to try the Battle Brothers yet.

And today, I used a German Wilkinson Sword(the same one I was dissatisfied with yesterday and the day before) in a different razor(the merkur futur) and got a bbs nick-free shave. That is weird.

The Gillette Wilkinson Sword made in Shanghai, China is even better. Wink
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Same as you. Sharks left in the dust 10 years ago. Have some Astra SP around but never reach for them. Love GSB, Pol Silver SI and Gillette Rubies
