So, this last week I had used a personna blue variety blade with great effect. I was able to get 5 good shaves out of that bad boy. Now it wasn't as precise as the Feather and Astra, but good nontheless. But all things come to an end and I found out that a dull blade makes a dull boy...lol

So as I stated. With my tender and rashed up cheeks, what regimen works best for you guys? I laid off the wet shaves for a few days to say the least. But what other things would you share with the rest of us....What are your "tricks of the trade"?

Listerine original, amber colored. That's a good friend to have around. smells good, tastes better then pinaud or brut products.

With the grain only is the best friend youll find.

If I understand your question, correctly, you are inquiring about how to best soothe irritation after a rough shave, correct?

If this is the case, unrefined shea butter works, beautifully. Shy

Cool Fix.

Not generally a fan of mass commercial products but that's always been a main stay for me. Available in your local beauty store.

My wet shaving journey has taught me to focus on prevention of razor burn.  The things that have worked best are:

Focusing on technique

It's all about a light touch

Stop striving for the elusive BBS and be happy with a close, comfortable shave

Pay attention to the first strokes as a blade has been used several times for any signs, such as tugging, that indicate it isn't sharp enough

Too much burn from alcohol based after shave is a hint to me.

This, all day long. The only place I've found it locally was at Ulta.

I've got extremely sensitive skin on my neck. If I get irritation of any kind, this stuff can knock it out in a day or two. Usually put it on right after the shave, and maybe once again before bed. Even if I shave at night.

B&M Reserve and Chattilon Lux Toners work great for me - they seem to be able to put out any fire. Ginger's Garden is no slouch, either.
Also, I like to wash my face with calendula based soap, like from Kiehl's, or tea tree from Body Shop.
