Hello,

I read this thread and thought about purchasing one. I found some NEW( yes, it has to be new) to try and I'd appreciate a recommendation.

Which one?

Any of the three would probably work for you. I think the first two are mild razors. I'm not sure about the third one, as I haven't tried it yet.

Schick Type O clone, mild with regular blades but the Japanese schick twin injector blades are the best with it.

I also recommend the Supply Single Edge. Very heavy but a comfortable smooth shave, and it’s adjustable in a way if you buy the extra plates. I like to use the Chinese Schick blades in the yellow package, I’m not a fan of the personna blades.
The schick twin blades do not work on the Supply but the type O clone will accept any injector blade.

Yeah, Supply would be my suggestion as well (I prefer the level one plate). For my skin, the vintage options were not as forgiving. Good luck in your injector journey.

I would not buy an over priced NOS one in the package nor would I recommend the Supply injector for someone new to injectors. Just buy a cheap used Schick J Model that is mild and soak it in 70% (per the CDC) rubbing alcohol for 15 mins. after washing with dish soap & hot water. The J Model is very forgiving and a great "learner" injector as well as cheap on Ebay. Baby steps. Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

For 99$ it would be the razor to buy with the add on plates. I haven't paid more than 10-15$ FOR VINTAGE Shick injectors shipped.

How does one argue with a man who has a schick injector blade as his profile pic

Please be so kind to share how the chicks fare compare to the Ted Pella injector blades which are a real bargain - though never tried them. I get my chicks off ebay mostly - any cheaper place to buy in bulk ?

Shameless plug for my BST post since everyone seems to be recommending the Supply. It is a great razor. Super smooth and forgiving.

I would try this HERE if you have the money.  I personally prefer the mingoose over supply, for me its a better shave.  If you just want to give injectors a try before you jump in ... go for the adjustable schick injector, mine was in almost mint condition for 25ish on eBay.
