I make a post shave moisturizing balm that I thought some of you may be interested in trying. It is particularly good for those who have sensitivities to scents. It is scent-free...and all natural. For the longest time I have been using a 50/50 mixture of unrefined shea butter and coconut oil. I modified this mixture today and I was quite pleased with the results.

2 Tbsp. unrefined shea butter
1 Tsp. coconut oil
2 drops vegetable glycerin
2 drops liquid lanolin.

Microwave until melted...pour into container and let cool. Feels great on my skin. I find as I age, I need to moisturize my skin...especially post shave. If you prefer, you could easily add a few drops of an EO to provide a scent...eg. lavender or rose. I prefer an unscented balm...because I often wait an hour and then put on a scented ASB.

I made some aftershave butter a while back. Very moisturizing and good ingredients, plus you can add whatever you want to it to customize it your way.

I didn't measure anything but the ingredients are: coconut oil, shea butter, glycerin, Aloe vera, beeswax, spiced rum, EO (patchouli, orange, tangerine)

The lanolin sounds like a great ingredient for any balm. Myrsol Emulsion has lanolin and is a wonderful balm, but it is fun to make homemade products and a lot less expensive.

sounds nice and easy, is this relatively greasy on the skin for some time? i battle with protection vs greasiness in my attempts at DIY after shave balms
I hope to try this out, just need to hit the google machine to find out where to get lanolin
thanks for the recipe
