Did you make that review/comparison? I am particularly curious About the f-400. Thanks.

Yes, sorry for the delay. Hectic work schedule and testing a few different razors. My first ever synthetic was my Maggards 26mm "Granite" brush. Loved the way it feels in the hands with a good sized handle that is quite comfortable to hold. Nice, soft tips with decent backbone and loft to work with anything. Creams, croaps and hard soaps are no problem with it. Good flow through and it does not sling the lather everywhere but your face. Synthetics do have some springiness to them, but this one not so much. Great brush imo. Only 3 hair fibers lost within the first week of use. None since.

The RR Beehive is almost pretty much the same as the Maggards, but feels like it covers more on the face and actually splays just a tad bit better than the Maggard brush. Of course it's larger, but the loft is not as long as the Maggard brush, but it feels just as soft if not softer. Flow through is excellent with the Beehive. Synthetics don't absorb as much of the soap as Badger or Boars can, so the brush maintains most of the lather towards the tips, but it still can get me a 3-4 pass shave with a good load. And I load it like I stole it when it comes to my brushes. So there is always plenty of soap to do touch ups or an extra pass if needed. 1 hair fiber lost on my first shave during loading. None since. Solid.

Now, the beast. The F-400 is exactly that but, it somehow shows the same manners as the Beehive. 34mm, huge loft and the handle is big, but not uncomfortable. Now, because of that longer loft and massive knot it will hold more water even though synthetics as a whole don't absorb much, this one does just because of sheer size. So you really have to start this brush more on the drier side than the others because if not, when you start lathering you will see soap everywhere. Shoulders, neck, chest and mirror. It's just an animal. So, I use more care in loading and then lathering on my face. I start out drier by really squeezing out the water and 2-3 good snaps of the brush. I load the brush and bring to my face and start lathering. If it's still a little dry or thick, I wet the tips maybe 1-2 times and it is a glorious lather making machine. The feel on the face is super soft but really has a decent amount of splay for it's size. Good backbone for building that creamy, luscious lather in no time. Bowl lathering though is tough with it. It's just so big! But, I have ordered a bigger shave bowl with a deeper throat that should accommodate this beast. The Bright Ferrari Red finish is fabulous and the deep etching on the bottom of the handle just gives it a really nice touch. Also, not a single hair lost. Do I like the brush? No, I love the damn thing! There is nothing like it, and that's what drew me too it. No regrets here amigo.....
