Introducing the new Razorine Flatboy brass razor (head) which I recently obtained from Shave Nation. Made in Italy Razorine is famous for their shavettes which are offered in brass and other metals. It is named the Flatboy because the head is nearly flat. When you buy the razor it is offered in a choice of 316 handles. I choose the 90 mm handle which works beautifully but switched to a lighter Timeless Crown titanium. Total weigh is only 2.6 oz. My first couple of shaves I used a Voskhod Teflon which works very well. Not only is the head very flat but the weight is only 1.1 oz . The shave itself is fantastic in my opinion. Its a good idea to keep the razor at a very shallow angle which gives excellent skin contact without being harsh. The blade contact with the skin seems to be fairly high but it only intensives the beauty of the shave. One word of caution their is a lot of noise from this razor so if that bothers you wear ear plugs (just kidding). Even so the head is fairly thin the end tabs cover the blade entirely.
The head is made from a light brass which is different from the usual red brass and darker color. The finish is ok but not fantastic as their might be slight machining marks. But for $43 this is a fantastic deal. So far its turning out to be my best shaver by far when you compare close and smooth shave plus price point to more expensive razors.
