Shavemd Thank you for posting your email reply . We’ve all had typos and words missing from text and emails when responding via a mobile device but WOW that response was brutal. It was hard to read due to missing words, incorrect tenses, etc. I’m sorry, but if you can’t respond to a customer in a manner that resembles a coherent sentence; I’m out. Further, if you aren’t shaving with the competition to gauge your own product, another red flag in my view.

Touché. Superb salesman.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.” “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Without getting into the razor or whether they should know the competition, Bear in mind that English may not be the first language of the writer.

A lot of people see this razor as a blatant copy of The Blackland Blackbird, but I think it only looks that way.
The Blackbird is a great shaver because it arches the blade inside the topcap; the Raw Razor does not. I would bet that they shave quite differently.
I like The Blackbird a lot; it's one of my favorite DE razors. I have yet to try the Raw Razor, perhaps someday I will.
It does seem that they are all about appearances, and their razor does indeed look a little like The Blackbird.
The Blackbird Razor however is very innovative, whereas The Raw Razor is merely imitative, and then only of appearances.
If I were going to steal designs from The Blackbird, I would steal the inner dimensions of the topcap, not the angular outer appearances.

I usually don't aim for raw when I shave. Just saying.
I'll pass.
Although I do think the threaded brush knot is neat. The handle it goes with, not so much my style.
That lubricating contraption looks silly. So complicated.
My thoughts exactly! Raw and shaving are not two words I'd put together.

I think it's scary to think the folks who designed this new expensive (and borderline ridiculous) razor have not personally shaved with high-end quality contemporary razors like Blackbird, Timeless, CG and the like. What is their reference point, and what makes their razor so great? To me, it's a red flag b/c it tells me they haven't done all their homework. It could still be the greatest thing since Gillette, but suffice it to say I'm skeptical. There's also an element of marketing that turns me off a bit, and a 5-piece razor with lubricating strips, really? I'll stick with my Blackbird thank you!
