So in shaving soap there's probably very small amounts of boric acid? 
   It's toxic, is that correct, or are there different types?

I use boric acid to kill ants. Humans, dogs etc would have to ingest massive amounts to suffer any ill effects.

So it is the same stuff to kill roaches or whatever insect, good to know. Probably wouldn't even make an elephant dizzy, unless I guess they ate plenty.
