that doesn't look right

That lather looks like it's full of air bubbles and it doesn't look right. I've been following this thread and I'd try to get them to exchange those for new jars. Seems like the right thing to do.

that lather looks a little dry to me...gobs and gobs of lather, but doesn't look all that slick, especially when shown in your palm spread out.

I think Marco@Pannacrema is a member of this forum, isn't he? He also made a limited edition soap a few years ago. I'm sure he can make a comment about this issue, except if he prefers to ignore it. I'm used to this.

He hasn't been here in a very long time though. However, he should get notification now that he's been officially tagged.

I hope he responds. That lather doesn't look good, at all...as others have noted.

he is, but he hasn't been online in years - at least not under the main forum username he used to use.

he wouldn't get a notification about being tagged unless he's logged into the site.

That's weird. Coulda sworn I get notification if I'm mentioned in a thread. How about if we find an old post and quote it, boss?

EDIT: Send him a PM. He will get an e-mail notification, I do.

I got this gorgeous lather from a shaving cream I bought in 2013! It's the Proraso Green and cost me only 2.8 euros. I used it today and had an unexpectedly good shave.

Compare this lather to the one I got from a Nuavia.

They wanted me to follow a highly precise procedure with a scale and a syringe to measure the product and the water in order to get a creamy lather.

I got this amazing lather just by doing the simplest procedure.

This Proraso cream is much older than the Nuavias. Preservatives did their magic for one more time.

Proraso will still exist when all these artisans go out of business. Be sure about that.

Proraso is an excellent product and it doesn't get the love it deserves.

That lather looks great - when I read through the Nuavia lathering procedure you printed above I must admit, my first thought was  - who the heck lathers like that!!  No doubt there are some people who do and they enjoy highly precise processes and the ability to repeat a process exactly the same every time but I'm not one of those people.  I soak my brush, I shake it out, I don't bloom and I load until I think there's enough soap and then I build the lather in a bowl (captain's Choice ceramic or copper) adding small amounts of water by passing the brush under a small trickle of water from the tap and keep going until the lather looks right.  Then I lather my face and shave. There is a lot of flexibility and a lot of subjectivity but it makes me happy  Happy2

maybe if you're using tapatalk or subscribed to a thread/forum section, then yeah..but if you're not, then he wouldn't know unless logged into the site.

also, you can turn off email notifications in your user settings..
