Once you dial in GD pre shave it’s a very very good product. Best in class I’d say...Protection, skin conditioning, lather boosting, and slickness. No weakness as I can see. While GD is known for great complex and innovative bases with great ingredients, I d bet the farm if he discontinued the pre shave you’d have quite a few people plenty ticked....over a pre shave. You wouldn’t see that in too many other places if at all. It’s become a signature product for him and rightfully so. I’d have a hard time not using it if if suddenly became unavailable. I’ve always been a preshave user but this is nothing like the other stuff out there. Worth a try and lasts a long time.

I tend to take a warm shower and use conditioner on my stubble. Works a treat. Pre and post shaves usually make my ultra sensitive skin break out.

Cube 2.0 has been great. Used Stirling before that. Not enough skin goodies in the old Stirling bar.

I've got a Razorock lime pre-shave cube (PAA cube knockoff, I'm assuming) stowed away in a box somewhere in a storage closet. I keep forgetting to fish it out and give it a try. If nothing else, might be good enough as a pre-shave face wash.

I used grooming Department pre-shave last night and was really surprised, again, how smooth of shave I got around my rough tough chin area. Definitely great pre-shave.

I've been using the unscented version of GD pre-shave for quite awhile and just ordered some of the "Rainforest" scented stuff from Mohammad. I've got very sensitive skin and a tough beard and this stuff is nothing short of marvelous. It will make lesser soaps even work better.
