Podcast suggestions

I’d second Radiolab, my favorite. I’d also add the TED Radio Hour - which is similar to Radiolab in the style and scope of topics addressed, if you like one, you may well like the other.

And for something out of left field and not to everyone’s taste - Welcome To Night Vale. It’s a work of fiction, as opposed to most of the other podcasts suggested and sort of hard to describe - kind of like Prarie Home Companion, but absurd, eerie, and darkly humorous. However it’s well-regarded and potentially worth a shot.

I found a couple other podcasts which I've been listening to lately.

1. 30 for 30 - this is ESPN's podcast of their series 30 for 30. Basically telling sports stories...but some off-the-cuff type stories. I've only listened to season 1 but the first episode hooked me. It's about the old Reebok commercial of Dan vs Dave - Who's the greatest athlete on earth.

2. Disgraceland - I listened to half the first episode on my way into work this morning...I'm definitely hooked on this one! I know a lot of DFS members are into music, so you might appreciate this podcast as well. Basically, it's story-telling of rock stars and their "misdeeds". if you listen to the trailer for season 1, the host describes it best at the 2:56 mark (for those who don't want to listen to the trailer: it's story-telling by some buzzed guy at the end of the bar who's seen some #!@*)

Of all of the ones I enjoy, If I had to pick just one, it would be Andy Stanley, though as a Bible nerd, I'm really starting to enjoy Tim Mackie from Exploring My Strange Bible.

I've just started listening to Revisionist History with Malcolm Gladwell and I'm finding them pretty good.
