I found these apparently extra soft brushes on the “named after a river” website.
We shall see if they can get the job done without scratching…

Have you used one yet? Outcome?

I have used one of these on a razor.  These things work great, better than a regular soft toothbrush.  They hold a lot of water and soap, get the job done and they’re cheap!  Wet shaver approved!

I’ve never been a plastic handle guy…
I tend towards heavier handled toothbrushes and these handles are a bit long for me.
The head is very efficient, however finding the right cleaning angle can be tricky.
I can get a damn fine cleaning most every time with just Dawn dish detergent.
No nicks or scratches.
BTW, Dawn lathers up quickly, not finicky about water and rinses off just great.
Post cleaning, I just rinse with warm water, a little tapping on the sink and air dry.
I’m hoping they will offer a brass handle or maybe even a Ti handle in the future.

For really grungy TTOs (twist to open) I buy a jug of Scrubbing Bubbles ... the pump kind, not the aerosol, and dump the contents in a rubbermaid container just large enough to hold a razor with a bit of clearance all the way round.

I soak the razor in the Scrubbing Bubbles solution for 45 minutes or so and then do the soft toothbrush under the tap routine.

For TTO with a stiff action I then take the razor and put it in another rubbermaid container with mineral oil and leave it overnight.

The oil permeates the innards and usually it's good to go. In extreme inner grunge cases an ultrasonic with water and Dawn dish soap can usually clear the mechanism up.

On the Scrubbing Bubbles, I put a WWII era German slant 3 piece razor in the mix and forgot it. A day later the plating was gone, so don't leave a razor in too long.

For gold plated Gillettes the only thing I use is Windex. I've been told anything stronger will remove the lacquer that protects the plating. Not sure if that's correct but I haven't experimented to find out.
