I was very attracted to the look of the Pils and bought one on ebay a couple of years ago. As dreabeard said above, 'it is a heavy two piece razor with a slick handle,' and so it is that.

It is head heavy too. Mild. Only slightly more efficient than the Feather AS-D2, which I tried my best to like, but sold it as well as the Pils.

TBH I as much as I love Wolfman and Charcoal Goods the best shaving razor for my personal face/neck is the Blackbird. YMMV.  Shy

A new handle can be switched.
It's better the upper shape is little enough to match in the head.
To not change the balance, some o-rings can help the grip on original handle.

How did you modify your pils to accept a different handle? I've used mine once in 6 months since Ive bought it due to hating the handle.

As in previous image, just screw off the hexagonal nut.

That is the easy part. most of my handles will not fit into that tiny hole. the few that will cannot get enough thread engagement to close the head. The plate on my baseplate is much deeper in that thread nook than yours. yours only requires a few lines of thread engagement. Probably a production update to prohibit other handles

Yeah I tend do lean more on aggressive but with Mina am blade feel. The ASD2 and Merlin HD were way too mild for me and were quickly sold. Sounds like this may be a pass for me.
