Is it a violation? Well, according to the USPTO, nobody has claimed or trademarked the OneBlade moniker.

A mark doesn't have to be registered to be valid, similar to copyrights. In fact, the mark must be used in commerce before it can be registered, if I remember correctly.  Not being interested in either product, I don't even know which one of them used "OneBlade" first, but I can see how it might be an issue having two products with the same name in the same market niche. I presumed this was the reason for the first post.

Your right! But Philips is a large Corporation versus a small start up company like Oneblade. The logo Oneblade is catchier than One Blade. I don't think the single edge razor company has a chance against Norelco. just my opinion.

The OneBlade single edge razor is about 300 dollars and change versus 34-36 dollars for the Oneblade contraption they don't consider a shaver even though you can use a foam and leaves your face with three lengths of hair.

Norelco has been around a lot longer than the other company. They know what they are doing.

This should be interesting. They're both grooming tools so I can't imagine either company being okay with the other using the OneBlade name.
