I'm really fine with anything from 3/8 to 9/8. The variety is part of the fun. Historically, the most commonly made size was the 5/8.

I'm a fan of 5/8 actually. I just like the nimble feeling, and the more hollow the better. Something about the feedback I get. I have an Elmo wedge that I use somewhat regularly, and I do like it quite a bit. It does feel like a bit of a hatchet on my face though. It takes a great edge and gives a great shave, but it's just not my favourite. Oh, and point type. That really doesn't matter to me to much. Aesthetically I really like Spanish points, but in regards to my shave it doesn't matter too much.
