Hey guys thank you for checking up on me. Everything is going good. Work got really busy when I got back from the holidays. My wife works closely with recovering Covid patients at the hospital, and her days got crazy busy too. The extra time I usually have to dedicate to the site went to helping out more around the house and with the baby. Little man is doing good, but has learned that he can now crawl and pull himself up, so in addition to watching him like a hawk, I have also been trying to baby proof the house.
I know I wanted to keep better track of my shaves for 2021 and post consistently, but life has a funny way of turning our attention elsewhere. Just as soon as work started to ease up a bit, Texas got a once in a lifetime winter storm. We were blessed enough to keep our power and water, but my prayers go out to those who were affected more.
As far as shaving goes I have been shaving everyday except for the Saturday's I come off of nights and flip my schedule back to days that way I can keep my Sunday routine before church. So that is about two days a month. I have not bought anything shave related this year (I went pretty crazy in 2020), but I do have my eyes on a few items. I definitely want to add the Dragonsbeard brush to my collection, but I am unsure if I want the synthetic knot it comes with or a badger. I also want to add a blue and green brush for my SOTD pictures. As far as soaps I am trying to reduce my den (again, 2020 really did me in). As far as razors go, I have my eye on two razors. One, a Max Sprecher razor. Those razors are stunning and I have heard nothing but great things from customers. The second is either a Gibbs or a Rex Ambassador "O" model. I am torn on this one because I love my Gillette Fatboy and I am curious if I should just get that one replated and call it done.
Thanks again for checking up on me guys and I will be posting my SOTD tomorrow like normal!

Thank you Dave! Also, I gotta know the story of why you are letting a certain razor go!

Don't use it enough to justify it and their going for stupid money. Trying to reduce the den some. That's really it. It's the best adjustable out there but finicky too.

I get that. That is also why I am considereing either keeping the Fatboy and getting it re-plated, or getting a Rex Ambassador "O" series. Everytime I talk to Frank I get the itch to get one

I have a Fatboy and that's good for an adjustable for me. Also a birth year Slim and a gifted Super Adjustable. The thing is I don't adjust them. I just tend to use a single setting so they're pointless for me really. Get a Yates with H plate or .95 Lupo instead Big Grin
