I am looking forward to seeing and hearing more when it gets released.
Any idea when or if it will be put on the market?

I had the chance to borrow an ATT SE to compare against the Paradigm prototype. The ATT SE is very nice; both smooth and very efficient but the Paradigm blows it out of the water in smoothness. The Paradigm is not as efficient as the ATT but it is the perfect marriage of smoothness and efficiency.

Are you able to compare to a mongoose?

I don't have nor have I ever used a Mongoose. The Paradigm was my first ever AC razor followed by the ATT. I have not used any others. Sorry.

Where you using the SE1 or SE2 baseplate in this comparison?

Wow. I am very surprised its not as efficient as an SE from ATT especially if it was the SE-1. That would be a deal breaker for me, and I am now depressed

Why surprised? I don't get the point. A razor can be less efficient than another one for a specific user.

Having used both quite a bit I would not agree with the statement that the SE is less efficient than the SE1. Just my opinion. The paradigm is infinitely smoother while still providing an efficient 2 pass shave ime.

YMMV and all that jazz...

Mark it was not stated that the tester used a SE1 or SE2. He just mentioned a ATT SE and to me that makes a huge difference. I found the SE1 a fairly smooth shaver and also fairly efficient but nowhere near as efficient as the SE2.. so I'm still waiting on an answer of which AAT SE was used in the comparison. If the New Paradigm SE is somewhere in the middle of both of these two ATT razors in efficiency and yet smoother than the SE2 which I found to be harsh I'd be in for sure. I do agree if it's not at least as efficient as the SE 1 then I'd probably not add it to my den as I've sold both the SE1 and SE2 baseplate and that's because as of right now the Cobra Classic is currently the SE razor in my den that has an almost perfect balance of both smoothness and efficiency of any SE AC razor I've owned or shaved with and with the smaller head it has great maneuverability. It has set the standard that I measure all SE razors by and for my beard and my face it's almost perfect!

Having the 17 4 I have pretty high expectations for the new Paradigm SE.. Hope it meets them.

Has the Paradigm SE gone live on the Paradigm website? I saw a post on another shave forum where an individual was able to add it to his cart and purchase it. I went there just a little while ago and it has it as out of stock. Was there an early release? Or perhaps a limited run?
