Two shaves in - need more time for sure - but can echo other shared sentiments - this razor has a lot to offer. Regardless of price.

Great shaves everyone!

Had a great side by side shave with the Blackbird Ti today. Goal is a comparative writeup tomorrow.

keto  -MO - next to get razor
jbreakfield -AL
Marhos24  -MI
RayClem -IL

AJSharp  -NY
ewk  - SC

Then returning to its new owner ;-)

The shipping order can be altered near the completion of each shave if anything needs to be changed .

The pass around list is now complete.

Emperor of Shaving
Picked one of these up directly from Andrew at Paradigm. Only two shaves in but this razor is impressive and punches abpve it's price point. I don't mind the handle at all. The razor is smooth and sneaky efficient. I'm still learning the nuances of it but very impressed thus far. BTW, Andrew's customer service and communication was excellent!

Any pics?  Paradigm Shaveware Andy, can you maybe chime in at some point on the sweet spots of the razor and a bit of the exposure at riding the cap vs the bar.  We know you… you know.

dtownvino and Niro884  There is no per se "shaving angle" on the razor, which can be confusing at first. I have noticed that with many DE razors, they will only shave within a narrow arc. That's not bad, it just is. You find the sweet spot, and bing, you are dialed in.

The Salient will shave from near the cap to near the guard, which makes navigating the shave easier. My usual angle, say on the cheeks, is about where you would hold any other razor, maybe a bit more toward the cap. But you have quite a bit of freedom in there. It gives you latitude in how efficiently you want to shave an area. You can get under your nose really easily, then angle more towards the cap when shaving your neck ATG. Just don't try too hard to find "the shave angle," because it's not there. It adapts to your preferences. FWIW, the shave plane is at a conventional 30 degrees from the blade plane, and the blade plane is at 8 degrees from the horizontal.

Experience using the Salient really pays off. The razor grows on you.

Thanks to all for the thoughtful reviews, and especially to Mike for arranging the pass around!

Last shave completed with the Salient. Was hoping to share a more complete writeup on side by side with the Blackbird Ti and final thoughts today. But I have been overcome by events with ongoing projects. Heavy push tomorrow to get those out.

In the meantime, I just placed an order for a polished Salient.  So, I suspect you might already know my overall thoughts Smile

Four shaves in - continuous to impress as a daily driver.  Nice comfort, very nice efficiency with some blade feel.

Razor is enroute to keto . Many thanks to Mike dtownvino for sponsoring and organizing the pass around.

One small note. Somewhere in the side by side shave equipment cleanup, I lost the washer I had taken from the included ziplock of washers (thanks for providing that). I was going to grab another but noticed there were only six left, and there are seven more participants. I ended up using one of my own washers from another razor, for the final run ( I should have done that from the beginning but didn't think to).

Just wanted to mention it in case you were in need of the included washers. I imagine out of the remaining shavers someone probably has a washer on hand to use with their Salient slot, leaving enough for the remaining six shavers.

Now back to writeups
