I had the second shave today. It was very very good.

The soap performs really nice. As the previous time, I noticed more similarities than differences with their previous tallow formula. Don't get me wrong, the comparison is unavoidable since I've tried almost every Pannacrema soap the last two years.

About the scent, I'd like it to be a bit more stronger. It's very mild but noticeable during the shave. A more intense scent would be perfect. The Vetiver scent is good, not too lemony and I can detect green notes and musk. It's a complex scent for sure. Some gentlemen will love it, some won't. To be honest, Nuavia scents are much more elegant. Pure2O's Vetiver scent has a similar scent profile with the Pannacrema classic line, which means similar scent strength and beautiful mild scents.

It's a thirsty soap and needs more water than some others. I am not surprised about it, because their previous tallow formula was also thirsty. To me, it's a better idea to use a synthetic brush than a boar with these soaps.

It's not too fair to compare it to the Nuavias. The latter is a premium vegan soap at a premium price in a beautiful ceramic bowl, while the Pure2O is a tallow soap at an affordable price in a quality plastic bowl. In terms of slickness and post- shave feeling the Nuavia outperforms the Pure2O, in my opinion, but it's a totally different soap. Don't forget that the Nuavia costs three times as much as the Pure2O. You get what you pay after all.

The competition is vast, no doubt on that. There are plenty of excellent performing soaps at this price. Does it deserve a try? Of course.

An excellent couple of reports, Nick. Interesting what you say about wanting the scent a little stronger. I wasn't expecting that.
This is my first experience with the tallow soaps, having only tried the Nuàvia line until now. YMMV, but I prefer the tallow. Post shave with the veggie soaps has always left my skin feeling dry, but that's a frequent finding of mine.

I agree with @"nikos.a" about the scent being mild, but the soap I'm using is the Pure20 DFS soap not the vetiver. I prefer soaps with the mild scents...I don't like using soaps that are too overpowering in the scent department.

Thanks, David.

About the scent strength, as I already wrote, it's a 5,5 out of 10 on the bowl and a 3,5 on the face. I'd prefer it to be 7 on the bowl and a bit more stronger during the shave. It's true that I do not prefer overpowering scents in general with a few exceptions, I sold many soaps because of that. However, a slightly stronger scent would be better, in my opinion.

Also, about the amazing post- shave feeling of Nuavia, calendula is the secret ingredient that makes the whole difference.

Is that an open tub or the top of a new Nuavia scent? I have yet to try PC soaps, but that will change in the near future.

It's ready. I'm waiting the jars which take ages to make. I've actually ordered them in the Pleistocene era Tongue
