By the looks of this pic someone forgot to debur the post hole on the base plate!! You'd figure he could deliver something of much better quality for $70, right?

Pretty sure that's just a lighting artifact on the center hole fillet. Doug doesn't put out poor quality.

This intrigues me as I had one of his Prismatic razors which was easily the most intriguing "new" razor development that I can recall as it copied an old style razor that few had even heard of let alone used:  the Kirby-Leresche. The Prismatic was fascinating in that the angle could be varied unlike any other DE I have used to suit your style. Alas, I sold mine, sans the handle, to a fellow poster here who was using the top cap (if I recall correctly) with a Gillette New base plate for what he felt was damn near perfection. 

I would like to see some reviews of this one ASAP. I bet the Sharpologist will do so soon.
