I try not to post on dead threads, or to post about products that are no longer available, but I can't help myself.

I revisited this razor this morning, after a long break, and am truly amazed that I still can't feel any stubble, almost 12 hours later. This seems to be my most efficient razor. The Charcoal Goods Level 3 is my favorite, but the PAA DOC Evolution gives me an even closer, longer-lasting shave. Also more efficient than my R41 2011, ATT H2, Blackbird OC, etc. Perhaps in a tie with my Ikon Shavecraft Tech, though friendlier.

I bring this up only because I saw the aluminum version of this razor languish too long on a BST the other day. I have both the stainless and the aluminum, or I would have been all over the offer. After sending my stainless version as a loaner to NY, and then seeing it sit in NJ for a few months after that, I'm pleased it's at home in my den...

You get no argument from me brother. It’s one of the best open comb razor ever made in my humble opinion. I never, ever have to perform a buffing or touch up pass with this razor. Good lather on every stroke to provide the protection and glide for it and there is nothing, dare I say including the formidable Ikon Tech that surpasses it for shave efficiency. The key I believe is the way that the blade is held so rigidly and supported fully on both sides that it’s almost Timeless like. Place the razor on your skin, get the angle to where you get equal cutting and comfort and it’s over for those whiskers. No skipping, pulling or skittish feeling that the razor will disengage from cutting whiskers. It’s a Bull Shark of a razor in reducing stubble to nothing. It’s the 2nd best razor behind my RX in terms of length and duration of a baby butt smooth finish that it provides.

Truly an astounding performer in every aspect.....
