Darn, that’s a shame. Maybe a chrome version of the DOC will have to do.

I really wanted a stainless steel version.

Those are nowhere near the same razor based on the reviews I've read. The SS version is said to be one of the most aggressive razors out there while the regular DOC is very mild.

Yes I know they are complete different.

This is an amazing and beautiful tool.

Old thread, but I'm wondering about this vs the newer DOC available?

Slightly different designs. The newer Ascensions can approach the aggressiveness of the Evo if you use the nylon washer and open them up half a turn, but I'm not sure if they quite get to the same level.

As gwsmallwood has stated above, similar but, completely different animal is the PAA DOC EVO SS. It’s a more blade forward designed razor that is quite aggressive and some would consider it harsh feeling. I personally do not consider it harsh but, it is an acquired taste of a razor and one really has to have solid technique to use it. Not for the mild shaver group in the least.....

Good to know where PAA Doc Evo fits into the newer ones.

I came back here when I had a bit more time today.
Man Gus,  that's a nice looking group of DOC razors. Gotta love how those look, fast and furious, at least I dig the look.
