I didn't see this coming and didn't think of it till now, but just realized that the cheapest razor I ever bought is the only one I use. It's aluminum and I much prefer it over the SS version of the same thing. Ymmv of course.

Navitimer So what is the price on a tub of Sebum shaving soap?  Last time I looked it was so far into the stratosphere it was absurd.  I will never know if it is overrated as I will never order it.

I too have noticed that some artisans are getting a little crazy with pricing.
The only maker that I buy from that is on the pricey side is B&M and that is because his soaps work well for me and they are priced according to ingredients cost, which I don’t see many others do.

I bought it second hand. During sales it can be had for around 75$ (soap only) if I remember correctly.
