We have successfully homed 2 of our passed IGs: Enzo and Dante in Nuavia jars thanks to DFS.  Still seeking 5 more Jars.  Note to others, anything bigger than an IG or MinPin won't fit if considering this.

We just shifted to this approach.  Our boxer mix has been an only dog for 12 years, so we decided to get her a little friend.  She's starting to warm up to him.

Brandy the boxer mix and Oliver the golden doodle.

Doesn't anyone have cats?  You know, those self cleaning, poop burying, lords and ladies of the household, the ones who let you know that you are their pet and not the other way around? Winking

andrewjs18 has cats. He just hasn’t posted pictures yet.

I recently read that when cats rub their faces against you they aren’t showing affection, they’re marking you as safe territory with pheromones comprised of a mixture fatty acids. I guess it’s better they consider you safe territory than the alternative.

We used to.  The deal breaker for us was the litter box.  We don't have anywhere out of the way to put one in our house.

We have rescued and placed several cats found homeless. They seem to sense we're the safe house, migrating to us when in need or dire straits.

Clearly the cats you've rescued have marked your home with their pheromones as a safe place -  Happy2

More likely as suckers  haha.  After all, cats are actually smarter than humans.
