Howling... A few months ago I started howling just to see if my dogs would. Our female makes very little noise of any sort, mostly whining at the most and that rarely. But the male started to howl and I created a monster. Before going go bed for the night he'll come and take his position and start chuffing at me. He wants to howl but wants me to start it off. Afterward he's ready for bed.

That would be awesome!  But if I train this pup to do that...I may end up losing my wife Smile

The rescue operation isn't sure of the breed as mama was a mix and papa is a complete unknown.  But after being woken up hearing howls at 1 am, there might be some hound dog in him Smile.  He did make for a very cozy companion next to my desk at 5 am though

I'm more of a cat person but he melted my heart instantly.  May he bring your wife and you years of happiness. Smile

Thanks Freddy!  I've always had both until I started dating my wife.  Unfortunately, she is allergic to cats.  She is ok being around them but when it is for prolonged periods, she'll start having reactions.

Your wife's problem with cats is exactly mine. Sad

She's a sweetheart!  How old is she?

So far, Teddy thinks he's a lap dog and at only about 3 lbs, I'm ok with that.  At 55 lbs, whoa...

She was a stray picked up by the Humane Society and was in rough shape (probably not a good life and ran away is usually the case in this area) and they nursed her back to health for 3 months before we adopted her. Told us their guess was @1 year old so about 2 now I guess. Teddy's a cutie for sure!
