I just received the original Paradigm Ti today so I had to try it and compare it to the 17-4.
Appearance It is beautifully made with a polished grey Matte finish, less industrial looking than the Timeless Ti, but not high polished like the Wolfman Ti.
The blade is held very rigid and the handle threads easily and smoothly The handle is elegant and has a good grip.
Pre- Shower
Soap- Castle Forbes Lavender
Blade- Gillette Silver Blue that I used yesterday in the 17-4 so 2nd shave on it
Well as smooth and minimal blade feel you have with the 17-4 the Ti is as smooth but the blade feel is on the other end of the Spectrum After reading some reviews I shaved at a very shallow angle and the audible feedback, which is the loudest of any of my DE’s easily guided my angle
First pass WTG and I could have stopped right there and had a DFS. 2nd pass XTG and I was BBS everywhere.
It is a good thing this is a light razor and well balanced as I used minimal to no pressure, and you do not need it.  In my overall view I love this razor but am amazed how different it is from the 17-4. It amazes me that these are the first 2 razors made by Andy as the are both very efficient but certainly on the extreme opposite ends when it comes to blade feel. If you are a guy who likes to feel the blade and really hear the shave the Ti is for you, but if you prefer very little blade feel stick with the 17-4. This is my humble opinion and YMMV

Really good review Mark and in line with reviews I've read about the Paradigm Ti.. So a question. How are the GSB's in the 17 - 4 let's say compared to the Posilver? It is a blade I just ordered as it was recommended that try it in another razor of mine so wondering what kind of shave it gave you.

I have read similar reviews of the Paradigm Ti, namely that it's got more blade feel than the 17-4. I own and love the shave of the 17-4, but would like a bit more blade feel. Andrew, if you're listening, I encourage you to create a 17-4 version of the original Ti head, for folks like me. I suspect there are a lot of folks like me...

GSB worked great in the 17-4, very similar to Polsilver for me

A kind member loaned me his Paradigm Ti for a short visit a few months back. Granted just three shaves but I found it too aggressive and the blade feel was too much for me. The brilliance (for me) of the 17-4 is it eliminates that unnecessary blade feel, adds smoothness without compromising efficiency.

I’m loving my 17-4 and plan to pick up a ti if it’s rereleased.

The Ti will be re-released albeit closer to the 17-4 shaving characteristics.
First in line though is the AC SE Andy is designing at the moment.

I’ve heard. And a good chance it will also be Ti. I’ve been bugging the guys from mongoose, att and more for a ti se razor and it sounds like Andy is going to make my dream come true!
