I use both depending on time between shaves and the state of my skin at the moment.

My go-to choices when I'm shaving more frequently (every other day for me)are my Ikon 102 slant, and my 58 Red Tip. If I have a longer time since the last shearing, I use my New LC for easier hair removal and cleaning of shave scum.

Open comb just due to the aesthetic. Well, also due to that they are OK for my face. My four heads in rotation are my own brand open comb long and short, ATT M2 and New LC golden from the States (the tin one from UK that I also own is very aggressive for me).
The first one and the most I use is mine, an OC long in brass. The most appealing for me is the Gillette. Gold is special and golden razors shave better as every body know .

Open combs have been more aggressive for me. My go to OC is the ATT S2, as it gets me BBS quite easily. That said, SB razors like the ATT S1 seem to be better for my sensitive skin, mainly because I shave daily. Consequently I use the S1 more often than the S2. If I shaved every other day or even less frequently, the S2 would be my go to razor.

Closed comb. If I want aggressive, it's off to the straight. I specifically use safety razors when I want a quick and mild shave. I know there is lots of variance in aggressiveness with both types, but often I don't like the exposure of many open combs.
