In that other thread, it seemed that brothers was the first anyone had ever heard of initiating a return, so it’s understandable that there was some apprehension about the process before that.

Now that I think about it, I haven’t been on the “other side” of an operation like this. Above the Tie and Timeless probably mostly sell to people who already know how to shave with a DE razor and know what they want. So hopefully the amount of returned razors is low.

On the other hand, OneBlade seems to be aimed at — maybe not the mass market, but — a fairly large audience. Giving a full refund could become a real issue if you have a bunch of people ordering the razor just for kicks, when they know they can return it within a month. Still, the $99 to make the return is steep, and could be a lot more reasonable.

I gave in to the $199 deal. If it doesn't work for me I think I'd post it on the BST as I'd be able to take less of a hit then the $99 fee.

I would likely do the same.

I'll be somewhat surprised if you all don't like it once you get used to it and master 'riding the pivot'. A video is linked earlier in this thread.

CASE of Feathers - $195. That's cheaper than what Bullgoose was selling them

Amazon is now listing them. Once this happens, more sellers are likely to appear https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/...583&sr=8-1

Agreed, once Amazon has them they'll be more available.

I recall that you don't like the GEMs, though they are a great choice for many - I mainly use those.

that's how I feel as well. I'm hoping that doesn't even come to fruition and I end up loving the razor...

Heck, for $99 I'd buy it off you to have a back up.

Both of those options are still pricey (compared to some overseas retailers), but perhaps more sellers will pop up with time, and hopefully the prices will then start to come down a bit.
