Still, I really enjoy using a fountain pen.  Granted, sometimes it can be messier than a ballpoint, maintenance is a must, and a more deliberate writing style helps tremendously.  It's sort of like the difference between using a Gillette Fusion and shaving gel vs. a D.E., S.E., or straight razor, brush, and soap.  Both will get the job done and the Fusion option is great when in a rush but the satisfaction of the shave definitely comes with the more old school equipment. ...
That's it exactly. I always like to learn Lost Arts of various kinds.
Plus, with cursive writing it becomes a secret code that Gen-X and Millennials cannot read.

About the nibs - I could not decide between a Fine or a Medium (from Birmingham Pens), so I got one of each, for my Nemosine Fission. (YOLO!)
This is the Medium:

I have a few Nemosine Singularitiy pens and except for one that burps ink the others all write very nicely.  I believe I only paid $14.99 for each, at the time, and they looked and wrote well above their price point, in my opinion.

How do you work that stopper ball in the bottle?
I'm guessing that you somehow get a bunch of ink at the top for lever-filler pens, but the directions appear only to show how to let the ink go back down past the ball.

John, if the cap is on tight, tip the bottle downward and ink will flow into the top.  When you turn the bottle upright again, the ball will fall faster than the ink at the top can thus trapping that ink.  This is perfect for when the bottle is almost empty as ink can still easily get to the top.

That makes sense, but what does the Step 3 in the diagram mean? If you just tilt it 45° or so, does it somehow loosen the seal enough to allow the ink to flow back down?

In Other News...
My Nemosine #6 nibs arrived today. Yay!

I do especially like the engraving. A butterfly rendered to look like a nuclear particle collision. Appropriate for a pen named "Fission" (even if a particle collision is not the same as nuclear fission).
I just noticed now that the "N" logo makes it look like the North arrow on a compass rosette.

I think that's pretty much it.
