Glad that you are enjoying- much like you, I had not tried the PAA soaps until this year and very happy that I did.

Performance is very solid and they have a scent for everyone.

I don't know if the formulation changed during PAA's transition from HTGAM, but, and I've mentioned this before, I have a tub of the HTGAM Cavendish, along with the discontinued ASB and alcohol-based cavendish AS and when they are finished, I will be sad to see them go. These are good performers. Not top-shelf, but of middling quality.

I used my PAA Good Vibrations last night. Outstanding summertime scent...like walking along a boardwalk with hot bodies wearing suntan oil...strolling past a barbershop!

First, I would like to compliment this group for having a thread about PAA that did not disolve into childish drama. I have a number of soaps and aftershaves and enjoy every one of them. The aftershaves last all day, give you that initial burn but feel nourishing after. I had the good fortune to spend some time with Douglas Smyth at a meetup. He's proof that you can have a big personality but still be a nice guy. I'm glad that everyone in this thread enjoys his products and I will continue to add items as my budget permits.

Yes, the formulation is different. I believe they are now on version 3.0. From what I've heard, each formulation has gotten progressively better. I found the HTGAM/Synergy formulation to just be so/so. Lathers extremely quickly and easily, but didn't have much residual slickness. I'm trying to use up what I have this year, but I plan to try some of the new PAA stuff next year.

Yeah, I used it this morning and it was extremely easy to lather. I used a synthetic brush with minimal water in it (all intentions on proper technique seem to take a back seat at 4 in the morning) and was able to get a great face lather in about a minute. The Aqua-D smelled a lot like XXX, but the Hedione was slightly off putting. I'm going to keep using it to see if it's something I can learn to like. It did, however, have a great feel to it and left my face feeling nourished.
