Odd little brush

I was browsing the web looking at antique furniture etc and I came across this odd little shaving brush. Apparently the base is bakelite

Has anyone seen anything like that?

I didnt buy it as I have no need for it. There was also a razor in a bakelite case. It was quite pretty though a little worn.

I thought that might be a single ring, but I don't think it is..the teeth look too long and there's no nubs that go through the bottom cap. maybe it's a gillette new, long comb, on a single ring handle..

what was the price on it?

The price was 25 euro, but the chap is selling the box; the razor is just along for the ride
