Been debating this one for a year or so. I had the soap and splash from HC&C, Gunslinger that is a dupe of this and liked it but gifted it to a friend. Guess I'll have to get that soap again.....

I liked my last commission from Rudy so much I decided I would commission another brush. Thought long and hard about what shape and I would like, but I kept coming back to his 2XL homage which calls “my favorite”.

Asked Rudy if he wouldn’t mind making one for me which he agreed to readily. See pictures below for the finished product, but let me say it is as nice as any brush in my collection and certainly better than almost all of them in terms of quality craftsmanship, aesthetics, and ergonomics. Coupled with a 26mm Shavemac  SilverTip bulb this brush is a face lathering  machine.

Side note: In speaking with Rudy I learned that it actually is inspired by an old Rooney handle and that one his original ivory suppliers from the past started to offer this material instead of the real stuff - it has some pattern similar to the Schreger lines of real ivory - stunning.

Again BRAVO Rudy - take another bow!!

Had a Pristine Khaki Set some years ago and let it go. Always regretted. Happy to get these 2 sets together. 1 well used and 1 appearing to be new old stock.

It’s a beauty Ken!  Actually all of my brushes but two are from Rudy now!

I’ve seen his real ivory brush and I love the way yours turned out, it looks close to real ivory for a resin!

He had a short piece of material that couldn’t be used so he tested a beehive with it… great stuff!

How can you beat this type of craftsmanship and customer service… you can’t!

Did my rounds this morning to the local antique shops, to my surprise one of the dealers had this Lather catcher set aside for me. box, and wedge blade have Yankee but the frame is stamped Daisy.
