Occams Status?

I was looking to buy Occams crushed lime shaving cream, and I thought I would grab their pre-shave soap as well. It wasn't in stock at Maggard's or West Coast Shaving, so I checked their website. All of their products are out of stock.

Did I just catch them at the wrong time, or are they no longer in business? I'm really interested in them, so I hope they'll be re-stocking again.

I see what you mean. You could always send them a message and inquire about their status. There is the possibility that as a small family run business in Australia, they may only supply vendors and not mess with shipping small individual orders. Not saying that's the case but perhaps it may be.

Good idea. I just sent them a note, and I'll update this thread if I hear back from them.

Unfortunately, Darcy at Occams confirmed he's winding his business down. It was a weekend job, and he wants his weekends back.

I have a lot of respect for what he accomplished. Everything from the ingredients to the branding was first-rate. It's too bad his products won't be available, but I'm glad he's making time for himself and his family.

I used the Crushed Lime before - nice cream. I had fairly high on my "to order" list.

Sorry to hear this. It was on my list, too, as I had read very good things about the products. But it can’t be an easy business to be in, whether full-time or part-time. Would be great if the people who leave the business could somehow impart to someone else what they have learned, especially in the cases where the product truly was something special.

The Strop Shoppe did this and gave Maggard the scent for Baker St.
