That's interesting, I also heard that the Black Beauty is more aggressive when open wide vs the Slim wide open, are you comparing the BB vs your Slims or vs Merkurs adjustables?

Like I said before when I opened up my Slim and loaded the blade I looked at the gap on 9 and I was like this will be medium in aggressiveness... then I placed against the skin on my face and yup I was right it was medium alike aggressive, but when I shaved with it I noticed its very efficient and that why I end up keeping it.

Now since I heard that the BB is more aggressive than the Slim I actually considered to add one down the road either NOS or in great condition at a good price, but now that you say it might be milder than the Slim I might just not even bother getting one

I think most would agree with me that the Super Adjustable is considerably milder than the Slim or Fatboy, which are very similar. The blade gap charts over on B&B also support that. I would say that it's close to the Progress.

Nice to know that, well maybe an NOS or well shape Fatboy is then on my list to get down the road

I'm glad you opened it and shave with it. I've got a B4 black beauty, but also have been hunting a B2. They are indeed very difficult to find. Good luck to you in your search!
