Looks promising! What about the exfoliating claim, though? I'm thinking since shaving exfoliates, doing that with a soap as well could end up being too much and prompt irritation. How do you find this stuff works in that regard?

Meantime, in a pinch, I picked up some original Liquid Neutrogena which will hopefully be a bit gentler.

They make exfoliation claims due to some of the botanicals included in the wash, but it seems very much to me like it's part of the so-called "Fairydust Theory" of cosmetics: if you sprinkle a bunch of things into the product just to make it look good, but not in enough quantity that they'll actually do anything, then you can charge more for said product. I haven't found it to be particularly exfoliating, but it does cleanse well, doesn't dry out my skin, and has a very nice scent.

Have you considered a bar soap specifically formulated for the face? Mystic Water has a few types available and Stirling has one too. Probably skip the one's with oatmeal and since they have some scrachies in them

My Gentle Oatmeal has very finely ground and sifted oat flour so it's not scrubby, and the oats themselves are soothing to the skin. Black Goat has the same base recipe, with goat milk and activated charcoal but no oats. Very gentle, very good.

I like to use MW Avocado Castile before shaving and even for general face wash at night. Nice and slick, and doesn't leave skin dry.

Try: ULTRAMILD CLEANSER by a company called Rosacea Care. Excellent product.
