As I type 4 upstairs tenants are moving their possessions with the police on scene out after less than six weeks. It seems they had a loud argument at 3 AM outside my window and when I complained replied FU.
goodbye to all five of you.

Thanks for the recommendation, but i already have enough lube on hand for everyone.

So what you say if 3 people out of 50 people that bought Gillette Fatboy and vouch with their lives that the Fatboy rocks but the 3 out of the 50 peeps said they didn't liked it its a bullshit and someone needs to call them out on it?

So having an opinion that don't agree with the rest it means you are an outcast? a rebel? a person with inferior opinion?

Ummmm nope dude, you do need lots of lube. Gimme your address and I'll mail you the prescription

EDIT: I see admin is already taking control over this, so instead of making things worse I'm letting it go.

bigwalleye and Blagoja Rajevski, your posts are, quite frankly, disgusting and this will be your only warning.  One more foul mouth diatribe like the ones I had to delete and a ban will be put in place; end of story!

Ok. So I'll apologise for being a bit crass. But I just said, in other words, its dumb opinion that the guerilla is inferior, a mistake, ugly, and Wolfman no longer has standards. These are unrealistic expectations.

People admit it's ok to have different opinions, but I get labeled a douchebag, miserable, pathetic, and a butthurt fanboy who needs lube. Pot meet kettle.

I know I got off on the wrong foot, but I don't care. I see how it is, last you'll see from me around here anyway.

It's not that people can't have different opinions.  Obviously not everyone will have the same opinions.  The problem I had with reading this thread was mostly uninformed opinions and the use of faulty comparisons to make a point.

Oh and also what the heck is that guy's deal with lube? Weird.

A bit crass?!  If this is the only way you can express yourself and you won't be back then I, for one, will not be upset if you do not return.  As for the post you alluded to, you will notice that it was deleted at the same time as yours.  Crude is crude, no matter who instigates it.  Varying and differing opinions are welcome here.  How those opinions are expressed goes to the heart of the very few rules we have in place at DFS.  It's a shame you cannot seem to follow them.

Again, this is my opinion. That's why I said that they have no standars, because they're now offering a product that has nothing to do with their standard line. Brands with very high standards only try to improve their products. This is maybe too much for some guys, but it's just an opinion of me. I guess this is why forums exist, to express our opinion freely without insulting anyone. This is not an insult in my book. Wolfman was already on the top of the line and this seemed unnecessary, at least to me. Since he has an employer now and an extra machine, he could make more of his amazing creations and that way more people would have the opportunity to get their hands on one without having to wait months or years. Making an inferior product to your standard line was a miss in my opinion.

Constantly quoting you to clarify things:

1. Finishing Wolfmans is the bottleneck for the whole process - that's why there are empty machines in the first place.
2. James prefers to do the finishing himself - that's why he's known for his high quality finish on top of good performance
3. If he has his assistant work on WR1, the same bottleneck applies and then you'll end up with 1/2 subpar finished Wolfmans - that lowers his standards.
4. What makes you even think he has no standards? I own a Guerilla and think the overall product is very nice (still has tight tolerances and I mean it's the same guy who designed the WR1 and BBS-1) and shaves as well as my Wolfman (which is really the only thing that matters anyway). Handle aside, if you're going to criticize the finish on the head, you're criticizing most of the machined, brushed finished razors on the market, as others have compared the Guerilla's finish to those razors (ATT for example).
5. Even if his assistant was as competent as James (which is hard to be given the amount of experience needed), it's not like production is going to skyrocket. He doesn't make them fast enough and even doubling output at best isn't going to make a dent in the demand - scalping will still be a huge issue unless he bumps the price up by a sizable margin.
6. If the Guerilla gives the same performance at a lower cost and gives more people access to his products, don't you think James will have more free time to improve his products or do some R&D on some new products? I'm sure introducing this line is gonna take a lot of weight off his shoulders so we can fulfill some outstanding orders from his waitlist and from John at LASSCo.

Hopefully I cleared some things up for you. He's not marketing these as Wolfman razors. Guerillas are not WR2s, they're a different line targeting a different demographic. (Edit: ) Kind of like Barrister and Mann offering the Latha line. Well performing product at a budget without the emphasis on packaging or complex scents. Different market.

Alright though a bit off hand, I feel it's a bit ridiculous that someone can claim an artisan has lowered their standards based on pics alone. That's not an opinion, he's trying to assert that James has factually lowered his standards and the guy hasn't even used the Guerilla yet. Has he spoken with James to get actual information regarding his process in full detail? Doubtful. Another thing, those that already have one, have said the fit and finish is still better than some of the current SS offerings. So then how can one even conclude that any standards have been lowered if he's beating the competition?

If he said he didn't like it, the handle was too fat, the appearance wasn't his thing, then sure those are opinions a person has a right to have. But to outright denounce a product as inferior because what? What's that actually based on? Has anyone seen a brushed WR1? It's the same finish I jumped the gun with this statement, it's brushed yes but overall not the same, and I admit my mistake. So what then, the WR1 is somehow inferior because it lacks the ultra high polish? Or because this new razor doesn't have the name "Wolfman" stamped on it?

I guess I'm a bit confused how exactly this is in any way an inferior product if the Guerilla has practically the same head geometry as WR1 (minus a varying blade gap), and a better finish than other brushed SS razors available.

I feel it's a bit ignorant to make such comments and pass them off as "just my opinion."

If I may make an observation? We somehow forget this forum is on the W ( world ) W (wide) W (web) and is enriched by active members from multiple nationalities, cultures and for whom English ( and we have enough conflicts with regional patois ) is a second language. I've known Nikos from another forum. We butted heads after he called a comment I made ludicrous. Now, I am Eastern Orthodox in my Christian persuasion and having attended a Greek church can assure you butting a Thick headed and stubborn Greek is not a good idea.
Ask a German WW2 vet who had to help the Italians defeat Greece and was so delayed he wound up facing that infamous Russian general name of Winter.
We all need to think twice and post once and maybe loosen up, unzip our pants if necessary. I know, somebody will see that stage of undress and think we're watching porn or something. You can't please everybody folks.

My dad was always bragging that if it wasn't for Greece, the Germans would have won the war (for the reasons you mentioned in your post). I always thought that he was overstating Greece's contribution ... until now. Thank you on behalf of all Greeks!
