A quick visit to the MW website to order a few more shampoo bars resulted in an unexpected surprise...a new shave soap scent!

Per her website:  Field of Dreams - The inspiration for this soap comes from my own memories of hanging out at my brother's Little League games and my uncles' baseball games every summer of my childhood: the leather glove, the dirt of the infield, freshly cut grass, and wood notes. I used this to make a felted baseball soap (on the Mystic Water Soap website) and the guys who smelled it said it would make a great shaving soap or aftershave.  Fragrance oils and lanolin.

I did order a puck and will report back once it arrives

Also, I don’t recall ever seeing Linden until a few days ago, when I was browsing the collection. The scent description for that one:
“Linden is sometimes called lime flower although it has nothing to do with limes: the small fragrant yellow flowers come from a tree known as Tilia cordata or basswood. Aromatic and attractive to bees, linden or lime flower has a bright, sunny, fresh floral scent. Linden scent for soap and perfumery is recreated in a fragrance oil. With lanolin.”

I’m very happy to see that Michelle is adding to her already extensive line.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I have been sick the past week or so and work has been crazy-busy so I haven't had a chance to post here for awhile.  I received the Field of Dreams puck last week and have lathered it once.  Lather is typical (ie superb) MW lather...the post-shave is what you expect and the lather is an ooey-gooey delight.  As far as the scent is concerned....well, my sinuses are part of my sickness and I'm not able to get a good sniff of any soap at this time.  I can say that I do pick up a grass-scent which seems to have a bit of a vetiver-vibe to it.  I used Stirling WH and PAA Vetiver Planet AS and, as far I can tell, that combo really worked well.  i look forward to using it again when my sniffer is functional

Matsilainen, thanks for noting the Linden.  I missed that when I made my order but will have to put it in the cart the next time I order shampoo bars.  That may be in the summer as I ordered quite a few bars to get me through the next several months Smile
