NEW MENLO RAZOR REVIEW

After I get the blessing from andrewjs18 I will set up a new thread for the sign up. I have also reached out to Menlo Shaving (on IG) and will coordinate with him as well and post more background info on him and his design goals for the razor, and so on.

So no need to sign up right now, but more details to come shortly.

The real issue is covid related slowdowns preventing the first production from getting done.  Happy to do a pass around, just didn't want it to be something different that what the final product will be.   If somebody wants to coordinate it I'll happily pass one around.

Just a thought here but would have to agree with Menlo Shaving  in that if the final product isn't available right now it would be best to wait for it to do a pass around, wouldn't want repeat of what happened with the Janus Toggle that had the prototype passed around and when the final product was released it was a completely different razor than what was passed around and a bunch of unhappy folks!!

I was just going by what he said 7 hrs ago in that due to Covid 19 the production schedule was off and didn't want it to be anything different than the final product which I took as not manufactured as yet. Also as of 2 days ago the handle hasn't been finalized either... I could be reading his posts all wrong though, I've certainly done that before!!

I will discuss with Menlo Shaving but I agree, I don’t anticipate the same issues we had with Janus.

So glad that Jeremy is so open to feedback and that he will be doing a different handle. I am loving the shaves I have been getting with the Menlo

Had my 3rd shave with the Menlo. It was excellent from the 1st shave and I am enjoying it even more. It is so smooth and efficient. BBS!!!

Hi Dave! Just got home from a quick 3 month trip, maybe you can help me out here? The Menlo has not hit the streets yet? They’re sold out at the website, however I see reviews here on this thread, but zero images other than the generic photos on Insta.  I was following the razor manufacturer through October-ish.  I was hoping to get one for the holidays but I didn’t. Sucks to be me.  I always like to patronize a new artisan, seems like the guy is pretty cool and his razor looks very cool.  Can you help a brother out?

Based on the fifth post, I would interpret this as rawfox1 having gotten his hands of a pre-production razor for testing.
