I appreciate your kind words (and patronage!).

As you might have seen, this page on our website attempts to describe the Heritage II hair and offers some comparison with the current Finest and Blonde.  Although the Heritage is currently out of stock and we're waiting for more to come in, we will announce its presence here as soon as possible.  So with that said:  the Finest has probably the thickest shafts of the three hairs, which gives it the most backbone.  Yet the tips are fairly fine.  In terms of softness, one patron tells us the tips of the Finest brush he purchased from this last drop began to "hook" right after his first shave.  (Caveat:  This is not a guarantee--just forwarding his comment!)

Because M&F knots are dense, splay and the sensation of density depend largely on the knot profile:  Fans and Hybrids will splay more readily (and feel less dense) than bulbs.  (Frankly, I don't like to try to force these knots to splay as I think you get much better lathering by only depressing the hair about 25-30%.  But that's just me.  For more thoughts, Joe ("Kooshman7") has more history with M&F's and Rooney's than I; so, his observations here might be worth your time.)

For what it's worth, my attitude toward our brushes is simple:  they cost a lot of money; so, they need (IMO) to "earn their keep."  I work hard as I'm sure many of you do also; so let them do the work.  Wink

I will say:  at this writing, we still have three ReadyMade M&F Finests from that shipment if anyone has an interest.

Gentlemen,

For your consideration, Nancy and I have just listed a small variety of new Morris & Forndran brushes in The ReadyMade Collection.  It includes a Heritage II L7 that had "gone walkabout" early in the coronavirus pandemic plus two new 2XL "Shorties" among others.  Check them out here.  If history is any indication, they probably won't last long, so....

Heritage II L7, Porcelain, Lapis Lazuli

Style 1/28mm, Finest Badger, American Butterscotch

Thanks for your time!

If I'd known you were going to have some Ready Made so soon I might not have put in an order for custom. Oh well... the deposit is non-refundable haha.

I wish we could predict when M&F shipments will arrive, but the thing is: there are just too many variables.  Besides, now you're getting just what you want!

We missed this lovely M&F Highlander when we listed the last drop.  Marvelously ergonomic, the Highlander's recently become more popular.  Check it out in The ReadyMade Collection.
