I have been using a DE for the past few years unless we go on Vacation. Normally don't check luggage so I don't want to lose my razor to tsa. I also don't have a job I have to shave every day. Sometimes go for a week or more.
Over the weekend I got an email from Naked armour SB's and decided to jump in. I did some research and called to see the country of origin for them. I spoke with a call center and she did not know. No problem I will search online. No luck.

Since my Grandfather came to the USA from Germany I decided to search German manufacturers and decided on a Dovo Bismarck. I am having it honed before shipping.

I just turned 57 and have been shaving since 15. Started with Dad's DE. Somewhere along the line I switched to cartridges.

I have had full beards and Van Dykes on and off sometimes for years at a time.. so I just trimmed things up.

I'm a bit nervous about the SR. But I think I can catch on rather quickly.

Welcome to DFS and enjoy your stay.  Feel free to ask questions about SRs or any other razor or technique.  Again, welcome. Happy2

welcome to the site.

Being that you're a German, I hope you visit the Reading Liederkranz for Oktoberfest?! Last year was my first year, usually working...it was fantastic. I'll certainly be back again!
