I see he is selling Lavendar again. Has anyone tried this yet? How is it?

For example, I read that Barbasol foam was based on a cologne frag, and American Blend Fine was based on the Barbasol frag.
To say it another way, his offerings are not original designs or creations, but recycled scents with new names. Would this be a correct (but oversimplified) statement?

Believe that's a different lavender, this one a re-creation of Czech & Speake Oxford and Cambridge (vs the original, which was a re-creation of Gendarme 20). @"uncle_dubya" has tried it, I think. He can probably give you a rundown.

I want to understand this clearly, so let me review
First, I read great things about Fine AB AS and that it was a classic American Barbershop scent and strong.
Second, I heard a podcast interview of the owner and he said he purposely makes them strong although technically still an AS and not EDT
Third, I bought some and though immediately - YES, this is exactly what I remember from back in the day what a barbershop or shaving was supposed to smell like. I had read it was an emulation/"inspired"/or whatever its called from some YSL thing (zoom, right over my head). The better half smelled it and also thought - Yes, this is how shaving is supposed to smell.
OK cool, I like it, and it reminds me of what shaving used to be and not all this new stuff and endless variations of scents.
Now I find out that the "YSL thing" is really an emulation/inspired by/or whatever its called of Barbasol?
Cool, Very Cool. Who knew? Not me. I totally forgot what Barbasol smelled like. Why don't they just say "it smells like Barbasol?" I know, no one would buy it. That was rhetorical. Marketing.

Thank You, and I like how it says its a "reinvention" of some unnamed classic scent
