they asked me to call them too when I asked for a return via their contact form. I'm going to call them on Wednesday afternoon.

when I sent back my 2nd OneBlade v1, they asked for the blades back, now that I think of it...

Question for those who have both Genesis and Core, and like them both

I really like my core, even though it takes a bit of effort to get a close shave. But the comfort level on this razor is better than anything I have ever used.

I know it is difficult to quantify, but how better is the Genesis, in what areas it is better?

I am seriously thinking about buying the Genesis but have never spent that much on a single shaving gear, yet!

Again, Question for those who have both Genesis and Core, and like them both

I just spoke to OneBlade about my return. I waited for about 3-5 minutes before someone picked up. When someone did pick up, I spoke to a guy named Alex...he just asked for some brief feedback, so I told him that the razor was too mild and inefficient for my type of facial hair - coarse and thick.

Alex mentioned that they've been reading feedback on the various forums out there, social media, etc., etc. and that they're making some tooling changes and offered to send me a new one once they're ready (I assume they're going to make it more aggressive?) and extend the 30-day return window once I receive that. I declined and mentioned that I'll wait for more feedback on the forums before deciding anything like that.

They also asked for any unused blades and I mentioned that it seems weird and possibly unsanitary to request unused blades back from an opened pack of razor blades. Alex said he understood, but that's what their supervisors were telling them...

On their website they don't mention blades in the return policy section, "We simply ask that you return the razor, razor display stand, and leather carrying case, unless instructed otherwise." Clearly, this is referencing the Genesis, but I know you mentioned they asked for the blades with your v1 exchange.

yeah, it seems like they really don't want these blades floating around unless they're the ones selling them. I wonder if they're going to ship them back to the feather factory and have them all reboxed as if they were never opened before...

Now that's a scary thought. Would that even be legal?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Have them re-packaged. Who does that?
It's getting pretty odd!

I'm not sure, but I can't think of any other reason for them to be requesting blades back.

Just contacted OneBlade and requested a refund.  Call was very similar to what you experienced andrewjs18.

I explained some of my concerns with the razor and the design.  The rep said they were monitoring the sites for feedback etc.   Sounded like they were addressing some quality control issues and trying to upgrade the aggressiveness. I was also given the option of a newly updated one.  I was told that the new updated batch was ready to go tomorrow and that they would get it shipped out to me tomorrow as well.  Sounded like they were going to be tweaking it over time so that was reason enough not to take the first batch that was updated.  Returning unused blades was not specifically addressed.  I was told to pack it up neatly and securely.  I will send the remaining blades to avoid problems.  I will continue to watch what happens with this razor and the Genesis for that matter as I was able to get very respectable shave (with extra passes of course) and my irritation was down.  I told them it wasn't a problem with my shave although if they could increase the aggression without increasing irritation that would be great.  I said I would like to see a metal head or some metal in key area's etc.

Who do they think they are, DeBeers? Hello..... Dude........its a razor blade not a diamond.lol

Halt production and fix the problems properly, rolling changes  to a bad design are not enough. It has a few serious issues will plague this thing to the end.

Why didn't they consult the razor freaks on the boards to do testing and help with r&d, that's what nd's are for.?. Sounds like somebody fell in love with the Fathers Day launch it clouded judgement rushing to market.
