In our quest for a LE group brush, we discovered Tony Forsyth from Perfect Pens & Pencils in Australia. At that time Tony had no prior experiences with shaving brushes, but his portfolio looked fantastic and he was very eager to explore this (for him new) field.

Turn the clock a couple months forward and Tony has not only become an enthusiastic wet shaver himself – his brush making skills are now also absolutely outstanding.  But not only that, he is super friendly and easy to deal with and he has an absolute drive to fully please his customers.

My pictures don't do them any justice, but here some impressions of prototype brush and the LE brush I acquired from him:

If you are looking for a new custom made brush, Tony might be the right man for you!

Lastly please let me make it absolutely clear, that I am in no way affiliated with Tony and his business – all the brushes pictured here were paid in full and I have never received anything for free from Tony.

Beautiful brushes, alfredus!  Congrats!

What knots did you end up going with for these brushes?  Obviously 2-band(and rightly so  Cool), but I was wondering which specifically.

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen - we used Bob Quinn Manchurian knots for the brush - outstanding and also highly recommended!

One of these Tony Forsyth LE brushes is now in my rotation. His workmanship is right up there with the best of the best. The Bob Quinn knot is simply outstanding. This is one brush that has blown me away.

He packs these brushes for shipping like no other brush maker I have dealt with. You can tell that Tony takes so much pride and care in his craft.

I also have the Tony Forsyth LE brush. After spending 10 minutes to unpack/unwrap the brush, my first thought was "WOW". The handle shape is "shaver friendly" and quality is superb. I debated signing up for the LE as not my favorite colors or shape. Fortunately the No vote lost.

Anyone used Tony for a handle recently? Thoughts?

It looks like I've talked myself into another custom with a hand tied rhodium knot. Srdjan recommended Tony but I know little of his work.
