I've been thinking about getting a badger brush to mix things up since I only have synthetics. I have sensitive skin, so I bowl lather since face lathering gives me irritation. I would like to face lather some if I could find a brush that works for me. I'm interested in getting a Thater 4125. Im not sure if I would like a 2 or 3 band better. For reference, I have a 24mm Whipped Dog synthetic and an Asylum BG7. I prefer the Whipped Dog because the Asylum has a little more backbone than I like.

How about going back to Larry at Whipped Dog, buying a knot and handle, and mounting the knot with a dab of silicon so you can use the brush but still pull the knot and change the loft. That way you can dial in the backbone your looking for.
